Sam Phillips is a Grammy- nominated, critically acclaimed artist and songwriter whose songs have been covered by Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, Nickel Creek, Gaby Moreno, Chico Mann, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore. Sam's career began as a star in the contemporary Christian music industry as Leslie Phillips. She then rebranded herself as "Sam" as she transitioned into the mainstream market after meeting producer and longtime collaborator T Bone Burnett. Sam's discography spans 15 albums and several EPs and includes hits "All Night", "Baby I Can't Please You", "I Need Love", "Reflecting Light", and "Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us". Phillips has composed original scores for hit TV shows such as Gilmore Girls, Bunheads, and 2018 Golden Globe winner for Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy- The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. "Anyone who's ever seen Sam Phillips live can't help but be struck by what a world of ideas and emotions she communicates with what seems so little: a raised eyebrow, a focused glance, a sly smile, an ever-so-subtle turn of the head. Above all, there's her green eyes wide open, as she appears to expand them to their physical limit to take in everyone and everything within their panoramic view." - Randall Roberts, Los Angeles Times.
